Indispensable tools for mezzotint.

Several widthsize are available from 1/2 to 3 inches and gauges in 65 or 85 lines per inch.

Certain models can be made heavier with a weight to facilitate hand action.

By working the rocker (with a rocking motion) over a copper/zinc plate in a criss-cross fashion one creates burrs that will trap the ink to produce rich black tone. By scraping and burnishing gray to white tones are obtained.
